Join the Department of Religious Studies for the annual Impact of Religion Lecture. Rebecca Peters, professor of religious studies at Elon University and president of the Society of Christian Ethics, will be our speaker. Her talk is titled "Abortion & Religion: Exploring the Epistemological Insights of Christian Women Having Abortions." Peters will trace the religious roots of the highly politicized abortion debate in the U.S. She will also discuss insights from the Abortion & Religion project, a major research study that includes interviews with Jewish, Christian, and Muslim people who have had abortions in the United States.
