Please join the Data Science and AI Academy for the AI @ NC State Hot Topic monthly series, an opportunity for people curious about artificial intelligence to network with experts, scholars and practitioners. A small group from industry and academia will explore a new topic in AI research, ethics, and practice at each forum. Through these conversations, we envision new opportunities to build industry-academia-government partnerships, collaborations, and communities.

The Nov. 7 forum topic is Artistry in the Age of AI: Balancing Innovation and Creativity. The conversation will explore artificial intelligence as a supportive tool in artists' creative and professional pursuits, aiming to streamline processes and enhance output quality. Concerns arise about AI potentially overshadowing human creativity, prompting discussions on maintaining artistic integrity amidst technological advancements. The challenge lies in finding a harmonious balance where artists embrace AI's capabilities without compromising their unique artistic expression and labor.
