Join Monica Lugo Velez, an assistant professor in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, for a one-hour workshop on analyzing social media protests with large language models, or LLMs. Velez's sample dataset of tweets from the Goya protest will be the basis for learning how to use an LLM to generate narratives from data. You will:

  • Understand how storytelling enhances the presentation of data for clarity and impact
  • Learn techniques to identify compelling stories within datasets

This beginner-friendly workshop is for students, faculty and staff. The workshop is part of a series of workshops focusing on real and practical examples using LLMs for writing and research in CHASS.
