In The Great Derangement: Climate Change and the Unthinkable, author Amitav Ghosh writes about “global warming’s resistance to the arts.” Yet the arts have a vital role in helping society voice, frame and comprehend the tectonic changes associated with global climate change. Join Chris Galik for a discussion about how the arts interface with a constantly evolving technological, political, economic and social landscape.

Galik's talk is part of Arts and Your Major, a series of programs highlighting the overlap between arts and STEM. The series sponsors are the Arts Village, Arts NC State and NC State University Libraries.
