Come hear from Industrial Designer Chris Currin from Hyster-Yale! This is a great opportunity to hear from an industry professional, learn about real-world applications of industrial design, and connect with peers over pizza. Chris will his share insights and experiences in the industry, offering a firsthand look at how they approach design at Hyster-Yale. Whether you’re considering a career in industrial design or simply want to learn more, this event is for you.

Chris Currin is the industrial designer responsible for “big warehouse products” being developed in Greenville, NC for Hyster Yale Materials Handling Inc. Through his varied work experience he gained an understanding of fiberglass molding, boat building techniques, plastic injection molding, pad printing, hot stamping, ultrasonic welding, as well as manual and automated assembly and inspection practices. Chris has been instrumental to the aesthetic design direction for the future of Hyster and Yale forklifts. He was lead designer on three forklifts currently in production and has an additional two currently in development. He finds great satisfaction in problem solving for his internal and external customers and thoroughly enjoys seeing people admire and use his designs.
