AWAY HOME is a musical in development that was written by local North Carolina theater-makers Tamara Kissane and Matthew Hager. The musical tells the story of when Daisy loses her beloved toy, and a writer composes fictional letters of the doll's adventures. Through music, sweet imaginings and rollicking escapades, AWAY HOME encourages us to heal our broken hearts and transform.

As part of the development process for AWAY HOME, participants can contribute to the growth of this piece by rehearsing the current draft of the script, hashing out new edits and offering ideas and reactions. If you've ever been curious about what happens during the creation of original art, then this is for you.

There will be some table work as well as working on your feet. We are looking for singers who are willing to move and movers who are willing to sign.

Please bring paper and a pencil and wear clothing that is comfortable to move in. Be sure to read Act 1 of the AWAY HOME script in advance.
