Join the African American Cultural Center for the Magic of African Rhythm with Teli Shabu, a two-day workshop where you will explore the Djembe culture of West Africa, its history, cultural context and its evolution. Participants will play djembes, learn how to hold down a multilayered, traditional rhythm, move their bodies and enjoy the dance movements that connect to the rhythm they have just played on the drum.
