Take your outdoor skills to the next level with this trip focused on introducing you to the skills needed to climb safely outside. We will rise early and introduce you to critical outdoor climbing skills at camp before we gather our gear and adventure to Table Rock Mountain, where we will go on a short hike to the Chimneys. There, you will have the opportunity to test your newly learned skills and help us set up ropes on beginner-friendly routes while we take in the beautiful views of the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area. No previous hiking, camping or outdoor climbing experience is necessary, but we will require you to have an active belay certification through the NC State Climbing Center before the pre-trip meeting. The deadline to register is Wednesday, April 12 at noon.
