Collaging Beloved Community is the second of three workshops in the Fostering Student Wellness and Belonging Workshop Series. This workshop invites participants to assemble a physical or digital collage that envisions their version of what bell hooks describes as "beloved community." As hooks explained in Feminism is for Everybody, “to be truly visionary we have to root our imagination in our concrete reality while simultaneously imagining possibilities beyond that reality." With this in mind, the goal of this part of the workshop is to draw from a space of radical imagination, engaging in visual storytelling and worldbuilding as an initial step toward generating a beloved community through the embodied practice of Black feminist making.
