About this Event
2810 Cates Ave., Raleigh, NC 27606
This event is the second in a series of collaborations between the Pack disAbility Advocacy Club and the Women's Center focused on tangible skills for consent, communication and healthy relationships within the differently abled community. This event is particularly important due to the red zone, the time between the beginning of the academic year and Thanksgiving, when over 50% of all the sexual assaults that happen on university campuses occur.
This interactive workshop will focus on practicing ways to ask for, give and understand consent in everyday situations and relationships, including sexual encounters, friendships, when communicating and more. Together, we aim to foster a more inclusive understanding of consent and create conversations and interactions that center on disability justice, empowerment and healthy relationships at NC State.
Please note that this event will include discussions around sexual violence. A counselor will be available for anyone who needs to talk.
