Examining previous scholarship can be exhilarating as a researcher but daunting as a writer telling the scholarly story. However, in order to sound credible to your reader, the tracing of past work is important. Join the Office of Undergraduate Research for a workshop that will examine how to write a literature review that successfully addresses your topic and synthesizes the research you have discovered. Topics will include summarizing versus synthesizing, parts of a literature review, metadiscourse and lending your voice to your scholarly story.
