The Critical Media Making showcase features projects developed by undergraduate students in communication enrolled in Critical Media Making. In Critical Media Making, students build speculative media objects to challenge normative frameworks, imagine equitable realities and exercise critique through unpacking and appropriating media technologies. Throughout the semester, students engaged with various media-making exercises to produce critiques of relevant social issues. Projects include stickers for activism, dust jacket design for banned books, satirical video remixes and augmented reality filters for social media.
