Join Marriott Sheldon, co-curator of the Gregg Museum of Art & Design, for a guided tour of selected works in BABENGA: The Sacred Forest and a screening of a short film about Jean Michel Dissake and his Mudiki Studio in Cameroon. Sheldon will discuss symbols and concepts in the artist’s work which explore ecology, spirituality and the balance between nature and technology. Dissake’s mission is influenced by his cultural heritage as well as wisdom gained from living for nine years in a forest on the Mungo River in Cameroon.
