NC State's Dance Marathon benefits the Children's Miracle Network at Duke Children's Hospital. Students involved in the organization spend a year raising funds and recruiting others for the cause. One hundred percent of the funds raised are donated to support various initiatives, including crafts, music therapy and research opportunities. 

The year culminates with an eight-hour-long event. Participants stay on their feet throughout the event dancing, playing games and entertaining in honor of kids who can't. Dancers also interact with "Miracle Kids" at the event.

The year-long fundraising total will be revealed March 3.
