Did you know that a Social Security number, driver’s license and date of birth are each classified as a different level of sensitive data at NC State? The university created the Data Management Framework (DMF) to help communicate the different levels of data — green, yellow, red and purple. Guided by industry best practices, Elizabeth Cole-Walker of OIT Security and Compliance will explain why the DMF was created and how it protects you and the university on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 1-2 p.m. This learning lab will answer your questions about campus data, technical issues or anything else that may affect your work with sensitive data and how to Keep IT Private!
