Join the College of Design for its fourth annual Doctor of Design Symposium, which will feature discussions centered around the theme Inclusion, Equity and Justice in Design Research. Those discussions will take place during three 40-minute sessions and a moderated panel discussion. and feature the following speakers :

  • J. Dakota Brown, who studied graphic design at NC State and teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
  • Upali Nanda, the principal and director of research at HKS, a global design firm in Detroit.
  • Bryan Lee, the design principal at Colloqate, a multidisciplinary nonprofit design justice practice, and the founding organizer of the Design Justice Platform.

Kofi Boone, a College of Design professor of landscape architecture and environmental planning, will moderate a panel discussion that will feature students and the speakers.
