Dear Sirs follows the journey of American Mark Pedri as he seeks to chart the route his grandfather took as a prisoner of war in Germany during World War II. The film follows Pedri and his wife as they bike across the German countryside, filling in the gaps of his grandfather’s story and reckoning with the impact of WWII.

A panel discussion on the history of the U.S.-German relationship and the current state of the U.S.-German relationship in today’s changing geopolitical landscape will precede the screening. Christopher J. Ghiz, a command historian for the U.S. Army Reserve Command, will speak during the event.

This event is part of NC State Global's Germany on Campus series. The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany generously funded the series.
