The North Carolina Defense Technology Transition Office's Coffee Call will have an in-person and virtual attendance option. You can attend in person at the Wilson College of Textiles or via Microsoft Teams.

Andre West will provide an update on the Flex Factory Prototype Lab. The Flex Factory provides services to entrepreneurs and established companies to bring textile products to market, reducing the product development timeline and increasing speed to market with state-of-the-art textile processing and cut-and-sew equipment.

Melissa Sharp will provide an overview of the recently awarded National Science Foundation Engines grant. NC State University will serve as a core partner in a regional research effort to advance U.S. capacity for textile innovation that ensures environmental sustainability by recycling waste materials into fibers for new textiles. The effort will receive up to $15 million for two years and up to $160 million over 10 years.
