About this Event
4231 Inwood Road, Raleigh, North Carolina
Join us for a tour of the Compost Facility and Research Cooperative to learn about NC State's closed-loop organic waste management system. Our facility processes all of the organic waste collected on campus into a nutrient-rich soil amendment that is utilized in the campus landscape and at the Agroecology Farm. If you've ever wondered where the items go that you put in the compost collections on campus, this tour is for you.
We will offer tours on April 8 and 29. Those tours will be limited to 25 people each. If more than 25 people register for a tour, we will put the additional registrants on a waitlist. We will notify those registrants if a spot becomes available.
The tours will be outdoors, so please wear close-toe shoes. Everyone must wear a mask and adhere to physical distance guidelines at all times.
