Joni is an experienced product design leader, passionate about the intersection of human-centered methods and business outcomes. As Vice President of IBM's Product Excellence office, she and her team are on a mission to empower and equip IBM’s teams to build winning products, with speed and at the scale of IBM. This includes leadership of our defined practices, communities, and career pathing in product management and design, as well as executive leadership of IBM’s design system (Carbon) and our Accessibility guidance and tooling. 

Previously, she directed IBM’s Enterprise Design Thinking practice, scaling in-person and digital learning activation that inspired a culture shift toward experience excellence across IBM’s workforce. She is a recognized leader in creating and disclosing intellectual property and has held leadership roles in transformation consulting, design research and product design.
