Come practice mindfulness and grounding on a guided soundscape walk along the Rocky Branch trail. The sounds around us make up our soundscape and have a profound effect on our mental, physical and cognitive well-being. Your guide will share research findings on how noticing sounds around you can support wellness and help you engage with bird and insect calls. All participants will have the option to contribute to Sound Around Town, a participatory science project led by Caren Cooper that aims to further our understanding of how sound relates to wellness.

We will meet at the Campus Health Center entrance that faces the Rocky Branch Trail. Please bring water, a hat and sunglasses and dress in comfortable clothing.
