Did you know that reading reduces stress levels by 68 percent? That’s why you should join Summer Reads, a book club for NC State staff and faculty. The book club will meet virtually once a month throughout the summer and will discuss a different book each time it meets. There are no fees to join the book club, but attendees must acquire a copy of the featured book to participate.

The club will discuss Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Essentialism is a must-read for anyone who has ever felt overworked, unproductive, overcommitted or like others are hijacking their time. The book is a guide for how to focus on what matters the most. For more information about Essentialism and to register to participate in the discussion about the book, go to REPORTER.
