Did you know that reading reduces stress levels by 68 percent? That’s why you should join Summer Reads, a book club for NC State staff and faculty. The book club will meet virtually once a month throughout the summer and will discuss a different book each time it meets. There are no fees to join the book club, but attendees must acquire a copy of the featured book to participate.

The club will discuss Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth on Tuesday, July 30. In the book, Duckworth writes about what she believes is the secret to success: grit, a combination of passion and perseverance. For more information about Grit and to register to participate in the discussion about the book, go to REPORTER.
