The Entrepreneurship Seminar will feature Stephanie Michelson.

Michelson was born in Denmark, grew up in Sweden and moved to the Bay Area in California in 2011. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark and a Master of Sciences in engineering in biotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark. As an undergraduate student, she spent a semester abroad on exchange at the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Michelson is very entrepreneurially driven. She has participated in various extracurricular activities throughout academia, including serving as a board member for Synapse - Life Science Connect, a student-driven organization focused on bridging academia and industry.  She won a gold medal at the International Genetically Engineered Machine Grand Jamboree in 2018 and was a fellow of the first cohort of the International Innovation Program.

Michelson has held various internships and part-time roles in biotechnology companies and startups, including LakePharma, BioPorto, Juvena Therapeutics, SynBioBeta and Wild Earth. She is mission-driven, motivated and has a go-getter attitude. Her biggest life goal is to do her part to make the world a better place through impact entrepreneurship, building a successful business and building an all-star team.
