Partners from across NC State are coming together in 2022 to share and catalyze new cutting-edge, equity-focused and equity-relevant research. The university’s first Equity Research Symposium will contemplate this question: “What does equity mean to me?” The event will feature panel presentations, lightning sessions, poster presentations and round table discussions.

The symposium will be held in person at Talley Student Union and streamed online. Raj Chetty, William A. Ackman Professor of Economics at Harvard University and director of Opportunity Insights, whose work focuses on equity, race and mobility in the United States, will deliver a keynote lecture at the event. Chetty’s talk is supported in part by the Harrelson Fund.

Those planning on attending the symposium in person are encouraged to register by Feb. 1.
