Ethereal: Boundless Black Femininity is an African American Cultural Center exhibit in partnership with the NC State Women's Center and Multicultural Student Affairs. The art is generated from our community and is an open reclamation of the multiple ways the divine feminine shows up in Black people regardless of gender presentation. It is an acknowledgment of the complex embodiment of femininity in Black men, women, femmes and gender-expansive people. By resisting normative values, this exhibit seeks to challenge what we think we know about the Black feminine. Come to embrace the artful softness, luxury, veracity, fluidity and mysticism of our NC State community.
