Every Person Is an Invention is a project by and for LGBTQ+ folks that will allow participants to share their stories and listen to other LGBTQ+ stories. Storywriting and telling will take place via Discord, an online platform we will use as our gathering spot. The project goal is to engage with storytelling as a strategy to empower folks through autobiographical writing and create visibility for LGBTQ+ life stories in ways that affirm the legitimacy of our life experiences and processes of identity formation.

We will gather via Discord on April 8-12. We will offer creative inspiration throughout the week and writing prompts every other day. You may respond to as many or as few prompts as you wish. Mediators will share prompts organized by themes that will inspire you to reflect on aspects of your identity. You are not required to share any information that can identify you and may use an alias if you wish.

This is not a workshop or a course to teach you how to write well. It is a collective space for creating and sharing personal stories through active listening and empathy. This is a safe space to share your story and learn about other LGBTQIAPN+ life stories.

Please register if you would like to participate. The deadline to register is April 7.
