DESCRIPTION:The Department of English invites you to its annual First-Year 
 Writing Showcase. The showcase will highlight exemplary interdisciplinary 
 writing projects produced in English 101. These projects span a wide range
  of topics and engage multiple genres and modes of writing\, celebrating t
 he curiosity\, creativity and intellectual risk-taking of our first-year w
 riters at NC State. This event is open to the public. Light refreshments w
 ill be served.\n\nStudents will present their work between 10 a.m. and noo
 n. Their work will remain on display at D.H. Hill Jr. Library in the iPear
 l Innovation Studio and the Cyma Rubin Visualization Gallery until 4 p.m.
