From March 25-28, NC State's Office of Global Engagement, Office of Faculty Excellence and the University Fellowships Office will host Fulbright Week, highlighting various programs supported through the prestigious Fulbright program.

Fulbright is an academic cultural exchange program for American students to study, teach or pursue important research and professional projects in the United States and more than 160 partner countries worldwide over an academic year.

The week's first event will be a faculty panel led by Kyle Miskell, director of external awards in the Office for Faculty Excellence. Faculty members who have received Fulbright scholar awards will share their experiences while highlighting the program and provide university resources for faculty interested in the Fulbright scholar and specialist programs. Attendees will hear from faculty who recently completed a Fulbright award and learn about their experience applying to the program, living abroad and navigating university and international procedures. Register to attend.

The panelists will include:

Mary Ann Danowitz
Professor and Dean Emerita, College of Education
Fulbright Specialist, Spain

Nora Haenn
Professor, Department of Sociology and Anthropology
Fulbright Scholar, Mexico

Fikret Isik
