The NC State University Libraries and the Office of Global Engagement invite the NC State community to come see a screening of Boxcutter. The film is about Rome, an aspiring Toronto rapper with talent but is crippled by insecurity. After his album's only copy is stolen just hours before he can meet megastar producer Richie Hill, Rome and his friend Jenaya race across the city to reconstruct the record and seize his one shot. Set against Toronto's vibrant music scene, the film "finds its strength in those within the community who believe in you when you might not always believe in yourself," according to Cinema Axis.

NC State librarians Greg Tourino, Alex Valencia and Gabriel Graña will introduce the film.

The film screening is part of the Global Film Series, a collaboration between the Libraries and the Office of Global Engagement.

The film's runtime is one hour and 34 minutes.
