Please join the Global Film Series for a screening of Made In Bangladesh. Marguerite Moore, a professor in the Wilson College of Textiles, will introduce the film. The movie focuses on Shimu, 23, who works in a clothing factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Faced with difficult conditions at work, she decides to start a union with her coworkers. Despite threats from the management and disapproval of her husband, Shimu is determined to go on. Together the women must fight and find a way.
