Are you interested in a fully funded overseas language program? If so, join the School of Public and International Affairs, the Department of World Languages and Cultures and the University Fellowship Office to learn about the Critical Language Scholarship and the Boren Awards. Kristen Hetrick from NC State's University Fellowship Office will share details about both nationally recognized programs, including their deadlines, and how her office can help you with your applications.
Critical Language Scholarship applications are due in November 2024 for the 2025 summer program. Participants will study one of the following languages: Arabic, Azerbaijani, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili, Turkish or Urdu.
Boren applications are due in late January/early February 2025. Students can study the above languages and many more.
