Join Le Cercle Français French club for a showing of Madan Sara, a film by Haitian journalist Etant Dupain. You do not need to know French to attend the screening.

The film centers on the informal status of women in Haitian society and their importance to that same society and how society functions. Madan saras deliver goods throughout the country and most times sell goods in public marketplaces to support their families. However, it is dangerous work because they are subject to being robbed, disruption on the street, which holds up commerce, and other dangers. Most times they are not protected by the authorities.

Dupain or another member of the production staff will be available after the film for a Q&A.
