https://www.lib.ncsu.edu/events/postponed-it-littleton-seminar-yeshimabeit-milner-co-founder-data-black-livesThis event has been postponed. We will remain in touch with Yeshimabeit Milner, the speaker for the event, and we hope to find a future date for the seminar.
Yeshimabeit Milner, co-founder of Data for Black Lives, will lead a thought-provoking discussion of the variety of ways data can impact issues of diversity and equity, and explore opportunities for civic engagement through data science. Data for Black lives is a yearly conference which convenes hundreds of data scientists, computer programmers, racial justice activists and elected officials to discuss the roles that data can and should play in black communities.
