Canadian pianist Jani Parsons – noted for her warmth, brilliance, versatility and vivid expression – will perform at NC State University on Saturday, Nov. 4, presented by the Department of Performing Arts and Technology. Her program will range from a fantasy-like prelude written by Elisabeth de la Guerre, one of the few enduring female composers from the Baroque era, to freshly inked contemporary works, including an evocative piece by one of Canada’s most celebrated composers, Alexina Louie. Dr. Parsons’ recital will include works by Prokofiev, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven and Debussy.
