Become an NC State Jazz musician! Our jazz big bands and combos offer students the chance to hone their skills performing a variety of jazz and swing styles, and to develop their improvisational skills. Each audition is about 10 minutes and will consist of sight reading, all major scales, basic improvisation over blues or rhythm changes and 2 short prepared etudes. Audition etudes and supporting materials will be made available on our auditions page by July 1.
