Eco + Pack, Citizens’ Climate Lobby and Toward Zero Waste invite the NC State community to attend Keep Your Cool in a Warming World: Facing Your Fear About Climate Change. This free, in-person Earth Month workshop will feature somatic psychotherapist Miriam Brodersen, who will discuss ways to navigate your feelings about the current planetary crisis. Brodersen is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in mindfulness-based therapy. She loves helping people work their emotions about climate change and other global crises, which she sees as a crucial part of changing the world.

The workshop will also explore the psychological roots of the climate crisis and strategies to help you when you feel overwhelmed. Participants will practice using mindfulness to connect to feelings of gratitude, connection and purpose.

Join us at Talley Student Union in Room 4280. Parking is free after 5 p.m. and available at the Coliseum Parking Deck at 201 Jensen Drive.

Registration is required. This event is open to the public, but room in the event space is limited.
