Kwanzaa is a week-long holiday, from Dec. 26, 2023, through Jan. 1, 2024, celebrated by many people of the African diaspora. The NC State recognition of Kwanzaa will take place earlier.

The LGBTQ Pride Center will honor ujamaa, one of the seven principles of Kwanzaa, by hosting a group of local Black-identifying business owners to discuss their experiences as entrepreneurs. Ujamaa means to build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.

Food will be available. A limited number of seats will be available for this event, so register as soon as you can.
