Join us to hear state Rep. Ricky Hurtado speak about his experience navigating college success and his current role in the North Carolina House of Representatives.

Hurtado was born and raised in rural North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a first-generation student. UNC is where he gained his passion for public service. He also attended Princeton University Graduate School. At Princeton, he focused on crafting policy strategies to fight against poverty and the inequities that many communities face all over the country.

Hurtado serves the North Carolina House of Representatives 63rd District. He advocates for and represents opportunity and success for many Latino students and communities in North Carolina and beyond. Please be sure to RSVP to this event by 4 p.m. Sept. 28.
