About this Event
2801 Founders Dr., Raleigh, NC 27695
Saul Flores walked 5,328 miles through 10 countries and nine border crossings to document how grueling and dangerous the journey can be for immigrants traveling to the United States and to raise money for an elementary school in Atencingo, Mexico. He spent three months walking, hitchhiking, sleeping on the ground and in hiding places. His journey began in Ecuador and ended in Charlotte.
Flores will be the keynote speaker for a Latinx Heritage Month event. Flores will talk about how as an NC State senior, he took the “walk” in the summer of 2010.
