Join the African American Cultural Center for the launch of Learning Labs, a dynamic series of workshops designed to equip students with new skills and encourage personal growth.

Our first workshop will be Self-Reflected: Mirrors, Memory and Speaking Truths. This generative, creative writing workshop will explore themes of identity, self-reflection and collective memory using mirrors as a metaphor. Writers will engage in free writes, prompts and group discussion and will leave the session with a first draft and a new lens on truth-telling through storytelling.

Khalisa Rae and Nick Courmon of Griot and Grey Owl will facilitate the workshop. The session is open to faculty, staff and students.

The African American Cultural Center would like to thank the center's partners: Griot and Grey Owl and the departments of Communications and English.
