Join the African American Cultural Center (AACC) for a session on how the NC State Libraries can support your academic, professional and personal growth. You will engage with authors and librarians to learn how to leverage library resources and spaces and the expertise of its staff.  You will also explore opportunities for research and creative projects and learn why representation in collections is important.

The event will offer insights for anyone interested in research, writing or lifelong learning. However, it will be particularly valuable for students majoring in English, history, journalism, sociology, anthropology, political science, psychology, arts and information science. You'll leave with practical strategies, new connections and inspiration to explore yourself and the world around you. Student attendees will have a chance to win one of two Patron Prize kits containing limited-edition AACC Library swag, a free book, library starter materials and more.

This event will close with a book signing by Zelda Lockhart and C.M. Lockhart. You can buy their books at the event or bring your own copies. The first 20 students to register for the event will receive a free book by Zelda Lockhart or C.M. Lockhart.

All are welcome to attend. The event is part of the AACC's celebration of National Library Week.
