Join Charles Williams, an artist and illustrator based in Raleigh, for a discussion on the intersection of art, culture and entrepreneurship. In this talk, Williams will discuss his creative inspirations — drawing from his love of hip-hop, anime and old-school Kung fu flicks — and explore how these influences shape his unique artistic style. Williams will also share his experience in building a business centered around his creative output, offering insights for artists, creatives and anyone interested in turning passion into a profession.

William's talk is part of NC State University Libraries' Making Space series. The series addresses barriers to inclusion in the STEM fields by presenting the experiences and perspectives of underrepresented groups in science and technology, including people of all identities and abilities.

After Williams' talk, he will host a workshop on digital illustration using Procreate. To learn how to draw creative character designs, register for the workshop.
