DESCRIPTION:Making Space is an NC State University Libraries event series t
 hat features underrepresented groups in science and technology. Please joi
 n us for a talk and workshop featuring Donna Baluchi\, equity\, diversity 
 and Inclusion librarian at Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library at th
 e University of Utah. Baluchi will provide insight about her journey into 
 medical librarianship. She will talk about her involvement in activism\, a
 rts and events like community-based music and art events. Baluchi will dis
 cuss her path to sciences and equity\, diversity and inclusion librariansh
 ip.\n\nFollowing the talk will be a workshop that builds off a workshop cr
 eated by “comic nurse” MK Czerwiec. Baluchi's workshop will focus on z
 ine making and graphic medicine\, using comics to impact health sciences i
 nformation. It focuses on encouraging students to use art as an informatio
 n medium and a stress-relieving wellness tool. She hopes to showcase that 
 anyone is an artist who can tell a story using comics with emphasis placed
  on the contributions anyone could have on medical innovation and informat
 ion.
