In support of NC State's wellness day, the Gregg Museum of Art & Design will give students an opportunity to rest and reset. LA Adkins will lead a sound therapy session, which is also known as a "sound bath." The session will offer an immersive and holistic well-being experience for you to practice mindfulness and focus on the present moment.

Sound therapy uses the sounds from crystal gemstone-infused singing bowls and other musical instruments to calm the nervous system and help you go inward and connect with your body. Some of the benefits of this practice are experiencing a sense of calm and deep relaxation, reduced stress, improved sleep and mood and better focus and concentration.

Please bring a yoga mat or a blanket to lie down on.

This program is for NC State students only. Registration is required for the sound therapy session. Space will be limited.
