About this Event
Join us for a virtual tour of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum led by Joshua Montanari, the library's education specialist and volunteer docent coordinator. The facility includes the presidential library and privately maintained spaces such as President Carter’s office, offices for foundations Carter supports and The Carter Center of Emory University. The $26 million library, which serves as a research facility and a museum, opened Oct. 1, 1986. The library's archives are a repository of approximately 27 million pages of Jimmy Carter’s White House material and papers of administration associates, including documents, memoranda, correspondence, etc. It also houses 500 million photographs and hundreds of hours of film, audio and videotape.
