Esports, a form of online gaming where players face off in organized competitions, is surging in popularity, spurred along by a global market that’s grown past $1 billion. Partners across the university have worked together to build a pilot gaming space — the NC State Gaming and Esports Lab - that we are thrilled to showcase in an open house.

Come explore the NC State Gaming and Esports Lab at Hunt Library. Check out 35 gaming personal computers and four console stations and play popular titles like Valorant, Fall Guys, Call of Duty, Smash Bros, Apex Legends and more. You can playtest games developed by the Video Game Development Club.

The open house also will be an opportunity to connect with Esports Club, Campus Health, Prevention Services and Wellness and Recreation representatives and gain insights into maintaining a healthy balance between gaming and overall well-being.

You also can experience the fusion of reality and gaming in our Tech Showcase with Mario Kart Augmented Reality. Dive into a blend of reality and fantasy as you navigate through iconic Mario Kart tracks brought to life.
