Alphabet Rockers make music that makes change. Founded by Kaitlin McGaw and Tommy Shepherd, this Grammy-nominated intergenerational group gained national acclaim on CBS This Morning. Their upbeat, catchy lyrics, often penned by children, aim to shape a more equitable world through hip hop. Catch them on stage at NC State LIVE just days after the Grammys.

Headlining performances at Lollapalooza, the Kennedy Center, San Francisco Pride Festival, Art & Soul Festival, Kidchella and in over 50 schools across the country each year, Alphabet Rockers are beloved for their contemporary sound and positive messages. In addition to two Grammy nominations, they won an Izzy Award in 2018, American Library Association’s Top Album in 2017 and 2018 and the Parents’ Choice Award for their five-album catalogue.

This event is recommended for future change-makers ages 5 to 12 and their families.
