Get up on your feet as Martha Redbone connects her Native and African American Kentucky roots with fiery old-time mountain gospel singing and the eclectic grit of Brooklyn. Inheriting the powerful vocal range of her gospel-singing African American father and the resilient spirit of her mother’s Cherokee/Shawnee/Choctaw culture, Redbone broadens the boundaries of American Roots music.

You can meet Redbone before the show at our preshow talk at 7 p.m. in Talley Student Union on the third floor outdoor terrace adjacent to Stewart Theatre. This is a new space for our preshow talk, and staff members will be one hand to direct you there.
