The Jeffrey Wright Military and Veteran Services office and NC State's ROTC units will host the annual Veterans Day Honor Run and Ceremony at the Memorial Belltower on Monday, Nov. 11, starting at 6 a.m. The early morning run is a great way to jumpstart your Veterans Day observance at NC State while raising awareness and support for those who have given so much for our freedom. We invite you to run in honor of a veteran. You can pin a veteran's picture on your shirt, write their name on your arm or hat or simply carry their spirit in your heart. Everyone is welcome to participate. Take the challenge, lace up your shoes and run with purpose.

Immediately following the race, we will hold a brief ceremony to mark NC State's military history and to honor the service of our students, staff, faculty and alumni veterans. The ceremony will include a wreath presentation, musical selections by NC State students and community members, and remarks from distinguished guest speakers. Here is the schedule of events for the morning observance:

5:45 a.m.
Runners arrive for the run.

6 a.m.
Run begins.

6:45 a.m.
Run ends. Participants can enjoy music and snacks.

7 a.m.
Ceremony begins.

7:30 a.m.
Ceremony concludes.
